Professor David Corey teaches political philosophy in the Honors College and is an affiliated member of the Philosophy Department and the Department of Political Science at Baylor University. He is the author of two books: The Sophists in Plato’s Dialogues and (with J. Daryl Charles) The Just War Tradition. Dr. Corey was educated at Oberlin College, where he earned degrees in classical languages and music performance. He has studied at Old College Edinburgh and Die Universität Heidelberg, and holds an MA and Ph.D. from Louisiana State University. In 2008 and again in 2018, he received Baylor's Outstanding Teaching Award and has twice been named Faculty Member of the Year by Baylor's Student Government.
